In the spirit of Valentine's Day our preschool friends spent their week talking about different things that they could do to be kind to their friends. Ideas like: "give them a hug, or be nice to them" were shared by the preschoolers before they began the process of making their own valentines for distribution to their friends. The classes also focused on different curriculum areas that supported the shape(heart) and color(pink)of the month. The color pink was used for everything from playdough, to valentine's bags, to artistic expression with heart shapes. At the end of the week the children celebrated with a special valentine's snack complete with ice cream and heart shaped cakes. Happy Valentine's Day from Kids Kare Owens Ranch! |
